Our family returned from a 10 day vacation in Maui last week. It was the perfect place for me to relax and rest my mind and body.
There was time to sit and listen to the ocean. I’m amazed how the sight and sound of rhythmic, crashing waves always clears my mind.
The entire family snorkeled together many times. Besides sitting on my butt and reading a book on the beach, I think snorkeling is the most relaxing activity ever.
I started to notice the little wonders of nature….
While the boys went for a bike ride at Makawao Forest, the girls enjoyed an outdoor breakfast near the ocean. We were joined by some cute birds who were definitely used to being fed.
Sometimes we just stopped to absorb the beauty.
and breathtaking sunsets.
I miss you already, Maui!!!!
Oh my gosh! How wonderful for you and your family!! Stunning – and it looks remote and peaceful, not tourist-y. I hope the feeling stays with you.
10 days?? I’m jealous. It looks beautiful!
What a lovely blog you have. I enjoyed the photography so much!! Have a wonderful weekend, Laurie.
Thank you for the kind comment.
I will be the one to say I am soooo jealous, I will live that vacation vicariously through you because I do not see it coming for me any time soon. My vacation this summer has consisted of the great excitement of the new public pool which is almost like a water park which is even better because it only costs $4 for me and the kids are free. I hope to travel to Oregon next summer to see the family, we shall see.
